ELLIOTT Moore says an Emirates FA Cup run can have multiple benefits for Oxford United.

The U’s start their journey in this season’s competition with a home tie against Bristol Rovers tomorrow (1pm).

United are potentially two wins away from a meeting with one of English football’s top sides when Premier League and Sky Bet Championship clubs join the Cup in the third round.

Moore played in big ties against West Ham United, Manchester City and Newcastle United two seasons ago and has experienced the impact those games can have.

But the centre back also knows it would do the U’s no harm if they extend their winning run to five games in tomorrow’s first-round clash.

“Any team can beat any team, but it’s a good draw,” the 24-year-old said.

“We’ve been mainly focusing on the league, but we want to win every game.

“If we have a good run it can boost our confidence in the league as well.

“We played Newcastle and West Ham and they were unbelievable for the fans, the club and the players.

“You just want to get as far as you can and see where it takes you.”
