OXFORD United have been drawn at home to Bristol Rovers in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Joining them in the draw was Banbury United, who will take on Sky Bet League Two side, Barrow.

First round matches will be played across the weekend of Saturday, November 6.

Joey Barton’s Bristol Rovers sit 16th in League Two, after suffering relegation last season.

The U’s beat Rovers in both league matches last season, both games finishing 2-0.

Barrow are in their second season back in the Football League after 48 years, and are currently 13th.

Karl Robinson’s side fell at the first hurdle in the FA Cup last season, losing 2-1 at home to Peterborough United.

Josh Ruffels equalised in first half stoppage time following a Siriki Dembele opener.

Jack Taylor ensured Posh went through with a goal after 63 minutes.

The U’s have however reached the third round in six of the last nine seasons, going on to make the fourth round twice and even getting to the fifth round in 2016/17.

The Puritans enjoyed a memorable cup reason last season, making it to the first round before losing 2-1 at home to Canvey Island.
