DAVID Oldfield wants Oxford City to show what they can do against Hampton & Richmond Borough tomorrow.

The Vanarama National League South clash at Court Place Farm is a chance for the hosts to move on from last Saturday’s defeat at Frome Town in the Emirates FA Cup.

It was out of keeping with the form that has put them fourth in the early standings and Oldfield looked to boost his team ahead of the meeting with eighth-placed Hampton & Richmond.

“We know how difficult that’s going to be, they’re a very good team going very well this season,” he said.

“We’re certainly not back to the drawing board.

“We have a really good group of players and people that have done exceptionally well over a long period of time, in really difficult circumstances.”

Elsewhere, Banbury United are aiming to stretch their unbeaten run to ten matches against St Ives Town.

Andy Whing’s side are yet to lose in any competition this season and are fourth in Pitching In Southern League Premier Central, with their opponents 13th.

North Leigh can reclaim top spot in Division 1 Central if they beat Barton Rovers at home, while it is also FA Trophy first qualifying round weekend.

Wantage Town host Willand Rovers, while Thame United entertain Winchester City.
