KIE Plumley made his debut for Weston-super-Mare in a 5-1 win over local rivals Taunton Town in the Emirates FA Cup second round of qualifying.

Third-year scholar Plumley was only beaten by a Gethyn Hill penalty with Weston already 4-0 up.

He made a one on one save with his feet to deny Dan Sullivan and prevent Taunton making it 4-2.

Three other Oxford United loanees got varying tastes in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Winger Tyler Goodrham’s excellent start at Hayes & Yeading continued with a second Man of the Match performance in a 5-0 win at home to Tonbridge Angels.

Left back Michael Elechi will have another chance in the cup with a replay on Tuesday after his loan side Chippenham Town drew 1-1 with Poole Town.

Right back Ben Watt didn’t make his debut for Stratford Town and watched from the bench as his new side won 4-0 at home to Nuneaton Borough.

Academy manager Dan Harris was at Hayes to watch Goodrham, and he told the U’s website: “We had someone at all of their games to keep an eye on them and see how they got on.

“The reports were all really positive and it’s great to see them play in competitive cup games with decent crowds and with something resting on the result.”
