Injuries ultimately overshadowed Bodin’s time at Preston, but interim head coach Frankie McAvoy wished the winger well when he was released alongside Louis Moult.

“Sometimes people need a fresh start in life,” he told the Lancashire Evening Post.

“They need to go and find another home where they can try and flourish as footballers.

“I wish them all the best and I have the greatest respect for both of them.”
