AARON Woodley will take up a player-coach role at North Leigh next season.
The former Oxford United trainee will join the Millers’ staff alongside playing as he begins his eighth campaign at Eynsham Park.
Woodley, 28, is looking forward to working with management team Eddie Odhiambo and Michael Alexis.
He said: “I’ve played a lot of football over the years and unfortunately a couple of injuries means I haven’t come back to my very best.
“Instead of possibly looking to play lower, I thought it was time to step into a coaching role and try and learn off the likes of Eddie and Lex and stay with North Leigh.
“The project we are looking to build is really exciting.”
Woodley is one of seven players to commit to the Pitching In Southern League Division 1 Central side, including former Oxford City man Jenson Wright and ex-United youngster Callum Crook.
Owen Dore also returns, while Jordan Thomas, Roger James and Charlie Wise have all agreed terms.
