OXFORD City have secured the services of 22-year-old striker Joe Iaciofano from Havant & Waterlooville.

He will join David Oldfield’s side after his contract expires, and becomes City’s first signing of the summer.

Iaciofano started his career with Northampton Town, where he made five appearances.

He had loan spells at Corby Town, Chesham United, Brackley Town, AFC Mansfield and Banbury United before leaving the Cobblers to join St Albans City on a permanent basis.

It was at St Albans when the striker scooped the National League South Golden Boot award after scoring 17 goals during the 2019/20 season.

That form saw him move to Havant & Waterlooville but injury problems have hindered his progress on the south coast.

He told the Oxford City website: “I’m buzzing to be here, I want to be at an ambitious club like Oxford City and hopefully I’ll progress here, I can’t wait to get into training.

“The aim is to get promoted, do as well as possible in the league and hopefully go on a few cup runs.

“Now I just can’t wait to start and meet the rest of the boys.”
