EDDIE Pepperell recorded his best result of 2021 at the Canary Islands Championship.
The Abingdon golfer shot an impressive 17-under par at Golf Costa Adeje to tie for 12th.
It is the Frilford Heath member's highest finish since his sixth place at last October's BMW PGA Championship.
After beginning the weekend seven-under, Pepperell stepped it up a notch in a near-flawless final two rounds.
A bogey at the fourth on Saturday was his only dropped shot in the second half of the event, picking up five birdies for a four-under par round on the penultimate day.
Pepperell was even better today, as six more birdies took him to 17-under for the tournament.
It followed an encouraging showing on the same course at the Tenerife Open the previous weekend, when he tied for 33rd.
