Oxford United were knocked out of their third cup competition in 11 days as Blue Square Premier leaders Aldershot beat them 1-0 in the Setanta Shield fourth round.
A 68th-minute goal from Kirk Hudson settled the match at the Recreation Ground and leaves the U's still waiting for their first goal in more than nine hours.
But it was a better performance from United as they head into their important Christmas programme.
