OXFORD United were the fourth-highest spenders on agents' fees in Sky Bet League One in the latest Football Association figures.

The U's spent £298,576 between February 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021 - more than doubling their total of £135,075 for the previous 12 months.

The period covers the last two transfer windows, when United's nine signings included Matty Taylor, Sam Winnall and Jordan Obita.

There were also new contracts for Cameron Brannagan, Jack Stevens, Sam Long and John Mousinho.

The U's total is more than every third-tier club other than Hull City, Sunderland and Ipswich Town and comfortably higher than the fifth-biggest spenders, Charlton Athletic, whose figure was £213,597.

Only eight clubs' net spend was £100,000 or more, while Gillingham were the only League One side to shell out nothing.
