LUKE McNally scored from a pair of first-half set-pieces as Oxford United Under 21s beat Luton Town 4-1.

The Irish centre back got the U's up and running after the visitors took a 1-0 lead, before Callum Crook and Adam Smith sealed a comfortable win.

A United side also featuring Leon Chambers-Parillon, who played almost half an hour for the first-team against Lincoln City on Friday night, went behind to Coree Wilson's tenth-minute effort.

But the U's levelled moments later, as Clinton Nosokhare made a nuisance of himself from Jack Gardner's free-kick and McNally turned the loose ball home.

The 21-year-old bagged his second midway through the half, powering a header into the net from Gardner's corner.

Crook increased the lead after 27 minutes, producing a composed finish from Chambers-Parillon's cut-back.

The same player then had an overhead kick cleared off the line by an excellent clearance as Luton made it to the break only two goals behind.

The Hatters were the better side early in the second half, but United held firm and Michael Elechi crossed to Smith to score the home side's fourth with 12 minutes left.

It sealed back-to-back victories for the U's, who beat Bristol Rovers 4-3 last Wednesday.
