JAMES Henry is the latest Oxford United player sidelined through injury - and he might not be back until Easter.

The midfielder sustained a hamstring issue at MK Dons on Saturday and had a scan before tonight's Sky Bet League One game against leaders Peterborough United.

While the time-frame for the injury is not set in stone, head coach Karl Robinson revealed Henry could be out for a month.

He said: “We’re not expecting him back before Easter.

"That’s very vague – if it’s sooner great, if it’s longer, that’s what it is."

Henry's injury came in the same game Sam Winnall sustained an ankle issue, with the striker set to have a scan in the next few days.

In a week that also saw Marcus McGuane ruled out for the rest of the season, Robinson rued the absence of an important figure.

He said: “You always know there’s a bit of magic in there, but there’s also an experienced head.

"So when he’s not playing well he’s a good leader – he talks and moves well, he asks the right questions.

"He motivates in the right way.

"We feel that we’re a bit unfortunate.

"We had these injuries at the beginning of the season which hampered some of the performances.

"We’re going into a very difficult game with big players not available.

"Against these big teams you have to have your best players fit.”
