OXFORD City’s Vanarama National League South clash with Dulwich Hamlet this weekend has been rearranged amid the ongoing funding issues for the league.

On January 22, the league was suspended for two weeks, with City returning to action in the 4-0 win at home to Hungerford Town earlier this week.

Clubs started the season after £10 million worth of Government grants, with loans from the Government seeing action continue.

However, teams were concerned about the financial implications of doing this.

Now, David Oldfield’s side will take on Chelmsford City on Saturday instead.

Justin Merritt, City’s sporting director, said: “Dulwich feel they can’t play until there’s clarity on the financial support.

“They’ve taken a stance until it’s resolved.

“There’s a lot of clubs that do want to play so we’ve found that in Chelmsford so we’ll be playing them.”

Oldfield added: “We know how difficult a game it is against Chelmsford, both teams have to readjust to facing each other.

“We just need to prepare and be ready for it.”
