JACOB Bancroft has joined Sky Bet League Two side Stevenage from Oxford City.

The 19-year-old forward signed for the Vanarama National League South club last summer, having spent time with Wantage Town earlier in the year.

Bancroft, who came through the ranks at Swindon Town, was often used as a substitute by City, but made a big impact off the bench in his final two games.

The teenager scored twice in the 4-2 Buildbase FA Trophy win over Haringey Borough last Saturday, before grabbing the final goal in the 5-3 victory at Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Luis Fernandez has made the opposite move to Bancroft.

The defender spent the first part of the season at City and has re-joined until the end of the season.
