OXFORD United will make a late decision on Jordan Obita’s availability for today’s trip to Burton Albion.

The 27-year-old missed Tuesday’s win at Plymouth Argyle because his wife is due to give birth, which could rule him out again today.

U’s head coach Karl Robinson will give Obita as much time as he needs.

He said: “The most important thing is him, the wife and the baby.”

Matty Taylor is fit enough to start after a dead leg saw him drop to the bench at Plymouth, while Cameron Brannagan is available.

Marcus McGuane: Good run will be forgotten with one bad result

Alex Gorrin returns from a one-match ban for picking up five yellow cards, but Liam Kelly is suspended for the same reason.

It could mean Jamie Hanson keeps his place in midfield, while Anthony Forde is also in contention.

With Kelly, John Mousinho and maybe Obita the only players unavailable, Robinson admitted it will be tough to decide who he leaves out of the squad.

He said: “It’s not nice, but the day I find that decision hard to make is the day it’s not the right job for me.

“We moan when we have injuries, so I’m certainly not going to moan when I take people out of the squad.”
