OXFORD United will make 1,500 tickets available for next Tuesday's Papa John's Trophy clash with Forest Green Rovers.

Supporters can book their seats for the second round tie from Wednesday morning, with the game moved to the later kick-off time of 7.45pm.

Tickets went on sale at 10am today for Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture against Hull City, which the U's are running as a pilot fixture with capacity limited to 1,000.

Under coronavirus restrictions coming into force on Wednesday the Kassam Stadium can welcome up to 2,000 supporters per game, but the club have limited the Forest Green match to 1,500 as it is a cup tie and not included in season tickets.

Details on how to book your place will be released tomorrow morning.

The U's traditionally get low crowds for Trophy matches, with the attendance of 1,548 for last season's group stage clash with Portsmouth their highest at home since January 2017.

With fans allowed in, more games will kick-off at 7.45pm, rather than the 7pm start time of evening matches so far this season.

This is to allow supporters, stewards and staff 'to arrive safely and gain access to the ground, especially with covid restrictions in place and safety for all inside the ground paramount', the club said.

The home game against Northampton Town on Tuesday, December 15 will also kick off at 7.45pm.
