TALENTED young rider Ronnie Harris is celebrating after finishing second in the 2020 FAB-Racing British Championship.

The 13-year-old from Middle Barton, between Bicester and Chipping Norton, claimed five wins among 16 podiums in the 21 races.

His attempts to catch the series leader were hampered with the news the scheduled final round at Llandow in Wales was cancelled.

But after a hat-trick of second places what turned out to be the penultimate event in Rowrah, Cumbria, Harris was in a strong position to make the podium.

The final races were at Red Lodge Karting in Suffolk, where he signed off with three fourth places in slippy conditions.

Harris is already looking ahead to next season, when he will be in the GP70 class, while younger brother Bill will be in the GP50 championship.
