EDDIE Pepperell will hope to build on his best result for a year when he gets under way at the BMW PGA Championship today.
The Abingdon golfer tees off at 12.05 at Wentworth alongside 2018 European Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn and fellow Englishman Steven Brown.
It comes after the Frilford Heath member tied for ninth at last week’s Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, with seven-under for the tournament.
Pepperell had not finished that high up the leaderboard since coming joint sixth in Portugal last October.
The World No 128 will have fond memories of this tournament, having finished joint sixth in 2013 aged just 22.
It was followed by a successful performance at the next day’s qualifier for the US Open, Pepperell’s first major.
