ROSE Kite is backing Oxford United to put a frustrating weekend behind them at MK Dons tonight.
The U’s lost 2-1 at Watford in FA Women’s National League Southern Premier on Sunday, despite creating enough chances to win.
Liam Gilbert’s side were also angered by a decision to only caution Hornets goalkeeper Sophie Harris for handling the ball outside of her area.
But England under 19 goalkeeper Kite feels United will take the positives from a promising display.
She said: “It’s frustrating, but at the end of the day it’s something that we couldn’t control.
“We have to move forward and focus on getting six points for the rest of the week.
“I believe we deserved the win, we performed very well and put in a lot more effort.
“We created more chances, which is really positive.”
United are eighth in the fledgling table, one place above tonight’s hosts.
Kite added: “It’s going to be tough, they’re a very physical side.”
