RAIN thwarted Oxfordshire’s hopes of ending the season with a win over Berkshire.
The friendly at Falkland CC, Newbury, was called off with the hosts 92-9, still 55 runs short of their target.
Oxon had posted 146 all out, Harrison Ward top-scoring with 38, before Max Mannering dismissed Berkshire openers Chris Peploe and Matthew Rowe to leave Berkshire 2-2.
The visitors stayed in control, but did not get the chance to close out the game.
