JAMIE Godfrey secured a double triumph as Yarnton & District AC visited the prolific Meadowlands Fishery in Warwickshire.
After claiming round six of the club’s summer league with a winning haul of 108lb 6oz 0drm, Godfrey partnered Ernie Smith to victory in the Yarnton Pairs Cup.
He triumphed after drawing the fancied end peg eight to land 17 carp, with Jacob Oliver second with 12 for 99.3.0 and Pete Oliver third, his ten giving him 72.0.0.
In the cup, Godfrey and Smith caught two carp and a nice net of silvers to achieve a combined weight of 134.1.0.
