VETERAN Carl Graham has joined Oxford City Stars as player/assistant coach.
The 36-year-old held the same role for Bracknell Hornets and will serve as new Stars boss Dean Birell’s No 2.
He brings a wealth of experience – more than 700 appearances with the likes of Bracknell Bees, Manchester Phoenix and Basingstoke Bison.
Graham said: “I’m excited and looking forward to challenge ahead with the Stars this season and I hope I can bring the club the success it deserves.
“The season will certainly be unlike most with the current situation and likely delays.
“However, I am sure once we get going and come together, we can start to grow towards what we’re aiming for.”
Birrell added: “Carl is highly respected in the game and will provide us with experience, quality and leadership.
“Carl is a great competitor and will add some real strength to our defence. He will also help develop our younger players.
“Having a player/assistant coach will provide us with leadership both on the bench and the ice.”
