BRADLEY Smith will look to build on an encouraging opening race of the season for Aprilia at tomorrow’s Andalusia Grand Prix.

The Forest Hill rider races in Jerez, Spain, for the second consecutive weekend after finishing 15th in the curtain-raiser to claim a point.

Smith impressed for the Italian team, making up five places in the opening lap after starting from the sixth row of the grid.

Smith is deputising for Andrea Iannone, who is contesting a ban.

After this weekend’s race, he will have a fortnight’s rest before the Czech Republic Grand Prix on August 9.
