Harry Oliver took the spoils for the second week running at match three of the Oxford Carp League.

The Yarnton angler put an impressive 196lbs 10oz 0drm on the scales, all caught on pole and pellet, at Alders Ash Farm pool near Milton Keynes.

It saw Oliver overtake Dave Roberts at the top of the standings after he backed up the previous week’s victory at Barston Lake.

He was pushed close by Paul Dann, from Didcot, who ended with 189.7.0, again all caught on pole and pellet.

The Oliver family had another reason to be cheerful as Harry’s brother Jacob finished off the podium with his haul of 157.8.0.

The other two frame places were taken by Kidlington anglers Craig Partridge, who recorded 150.4.0, and Andy Benwell with 145.9.0.

Coventry’s Roberts, who led the standings ahead of round three, was well down the field with 95.6.0.

Oliver’s victory puts him clear at the top of the standings on six points, with Partridge now two points behind in second.

Roberts, Dann and Benwell are tied for third, all with nine points.
