THE Cherwell League has confirmed its 2020 season will start on July 18.
Committee members decided on Thursday night to begin 40-over matches next Saturday, with adapted games allowed in England from today.
Due to concerns over ground and player availability, the league is asking clubs to confirm by midnight tonight if they are in a position to complete their fixtures.
A statement said: “When we know how many teams we have we will then review our structure for a nine-week season and decide on a format, that will probably involve merging divisions and some regionalising of fixtures.
“It is our aim to publish a new fixture list (if necessary) on Tuesday.”
