ANOTHER five players have put pen to paper as Ben Sadler’s squad at Kidlington comes together.

Following on from the initial announcement last week, they now have eight players on board when the South League Division 1 Central campaign begins.

Two of the newest recruits played for the coaching team at Wantage Town.

Steve Robertson, pictured, hit 82 goals in 105 appearances and will link up with former teammate Connor Mattimore.

The pair were part of Wantage’s Uhlsport Hellenic League-winning side, with the latter joining Kidlington last season after limited playing time at Didcot Town.

Another three players from last term’s set-up have committed themselves to stay.

Tobias London made a mark having progressed from Ardley United last season, with the attacker quickly stepping up from the development side to Kidlington’s first team.

Centre forward Jacob Davidge scored a double in the final game before lockdown and it is hoped will continue to progress next season.

Popular goalkeeper Christian Lawrence completes the group, after proving himself as a solid performer last season.
