FORMER Oxford United boss Pep Clotet will step down as Birmingham City head coach when the season ends.
It was the 43-year-old's first No 1 role since his short spell with the U's ended in January 2018.
City said: "He has decided to step down and the club has agreed to allow him to explore other coaching opportunities."
Birmingham are 16th in the Sky Bet Championship, eight points above the relegation zone, ahead of games resuming later this month.
Clotet said: "It's been a really difficult decision to take because it's a privilege to be part of the Blues family, but it's the best step for everyone and it allows the club to continue to move forward with their vision and strategy."
