THE coronavirus lockdown does not appear to have done one golfer’s game any harm.

Within a day of North Oxford reopening for the first time in two months, Paul Clarke claimed a hole-in-one.

Using a five iron at the 180-yard sixth hole, he found the newly-modified cup.

According to playing partner Martin Wathes it was a “great swing and always destined for the hole”.

Meanwhile, another Oxfordshire course has confirmed it’s reopening details.

Waterstock, near Thame, will start taking bookings from 9am tomorrow, with the first tee time at 7am on Saturday, May 23.
