A Stunning goal from striker Michael Bartley ultimately settled this Division 1 South & West encounter as Didcot made it three consecutive league victories on the road.

Didcot deserved the win which helped them to leapfrog their hosts into third place.

Paul Powell, back from injury, was involved in most of the visitors' best moves early on. Didcot suffered a blow when Josh Mulvany limped out of the action, but his replacement Liam Hope had a good game on the right flank.

They almost grabbed the lead following a super one-two between Andy Parrott and Powell, but Bridgwater keeper Tom Manley pulled off a brilliant save to deny Parrott at the near post.

Didcot took the lead after seven minutes before the break. Richard Witt found Matty Jack in space and after Parrott had knocked back his deep cross, Powell fired home from close-range.

Bridgwater responded with a series of corners just before the break.

Matt Bicknell cleared the ball as Bridgwater seemed certain to score, while Dan Forward's low shot was blocked by Didcot's Andy Williams, who was making his debut at the heart of the defence.
