OXFORD City’s outstanding Vanarama National League South games have been scrapped.
It was the option the club had backed when given the choice, citing it as the only logical solution from a financial point of view.
David Oldfield’s side had eight games remaining when the coronavirus halted the competition last month, with City 14th in the table.
Last Saturday was due to be the final fixture of the season, with Welling United scheduled to visit Court Place Farm.
The league have now ruled those matches will not take place, following the vote.
Michael Tattersall, chief executive at the National League said: “At a time when the entire country is wrestling with the devastating impact of Covid-19, the cancellation of the remaining normal season matches brings a degree of certainty to our clubs coping with the business implications of the virus.”
It leaves the promotion and relegation pictures yet to be decided.
Mid-table City have indicated they would be happy to go with the majority decision on how the sporting issues are settled.
A second vote has been suggested, with the league planning to give an update in due course.
