JAMIE Mackie has scored with a video which has gone viral over the Easter weekend.

A clip of the Oxford United forward lip-syncing an anti-coronavirus song with his daughter has been viewed more than 1.4 million times.

They are doing a rendition of ‘Pamela Pupkin’s quarantine workout’, which is itself a spoof clip posted by American comedian Laura Clery.

Mackie’s version, posted by U’s skipper John Mousinho on Twitter, has now been seen more times than Clery’s original Instagram post.

The 34-year-old put the montage together as part of a challenge among his teammates.

“They were laughing about it, but a couple of hours later they said ‘it’s blowing up a bit’, so I made myself an account (on Twitter) and had a look,” he told BBC Radio Oxford.

“It’s just good fun, I’m glad everyone’s had a laugh with it.

“That’s the main thing, when at the minute it’s all serious out there.”
