TWO players in the Oxford City FA League have tested positive for coronavirus.

The competition was today suspended indefinitely after its committee learnt the news, while squads from the teams affected are self-isolating.

Confirmation of the positive tests came after Saturday’s round of matches, when both teams were in action.

League secretary Carl Hibbins said: “We’re following government guidelines. Football isn’t the priority for us at this moment in time.”

All clubs, players and officials are aware.
