PAUL Gore was in upbeat mood despite Oxford City Stars’ defeat to his former side MK Thunder.
Sunday’s 5-4 overtime loss at Oxpens came after a 6-4 victory over Bracknell Hornets on Saturday booked Stars’ place in the National League South Division 1 play-offs.
While disappointed at the result against MK, Gore was encouraged by what he saw.
“I found the boys adapted well and played both games at a high tempo, played well and showed a great work ethic,” he said.
“Moving forward we will be working hard on our defensive responsibilities and moving the puck quickly.”
Meanwhile, David Manning has been released by the club.
