HEADINGTON Con Club’s Roger Tomlin and Keith Hollis booked their places in the semi-finals of the Pat Webber Cup.
The pair each triumphed over their Vikings opponents, Tomlin beating John Patey 5,850-2,590 and Hollis overcoming Dave Gordon 7,630-1,430.
Teammate Sid Ponting won a classic against Masons’ Alan Lowe in the first round of the men’s individual competition at Democrats Club.
Ponting won the first leg 5,820-2,730 and Lowe replied with a 5,750-3,130 win, but was edged out 8,950-8,480 on aggregate.
At Masons, Vikings’ Alan Oliver beat Berinsfield player David Naylor 13,700-4,200, while Donnington’s Dave Tooke claimed a 6,180-2,590 victory over Jack Clements, of Berinsfield.
Vikings’ Mike Jones also triumphed, beating Berinsfield’s John Boal
11,730-5,450 on aggregate after they won a frame each.
In the first round of Off The Spot, Oracle’s Mark Trafford was victorious against Vikings’ Allan Lacey 20,100-3,040.
Melvyn Johnson, another Oracle player, beat Masons’ Mick Murphy 6,190-3,100.
