BANBURY United fell to 11th in BetVictor Southern League Premier Central after drawing 0-0 against Hitchin Town.
Craig Fasanmade had two shots repelled in the opening ten minutes, before the visitors hit the side netting with a volley.
Fasanmade was thwarted again after he was played through by Claudio Dias, while home keeper Jack Harding was called into action ten minutes before the end of the half.
After the restart it was Giorgio Rasulo’s turn to be frustrated as he forced the visiting keeper into two saves within five minutes.
Connor Roberts and Ricky Johnson went close as the half wore on, but they were almost undone seven minutes from time.
Hitchin countered and Harding had to be alert to make a crucial block.
