CRAIG Adey left Ardley United on a high after stepping down in the wake of a 1-0 win at Virginia Water.

Callum Harvey scored the only goal, which lifted them to third bottom in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

In a statement Adey praised the work going on at the club, but felt it had become increasingly difficult to compete without a budget.

Danial Knight, who had been Adey’s assistant, has taken over until the end of the season.

Easington Sports picked up an impressive point away at unbeaten leaders Westfields.

Josh Rose scored the equaliser 15 minutes from time to secure a 1-1 draw.

In Division 1 East, Jack Tanner’s hat-trick gave Didcot Town Dev a 3-0 win at Thame Rangers.

Kidlington Dev moved above Thame in the table after they won 7-1 against bottom club Abingdon Town.

Aaron Morton hit a hat-trick, while Callum Green (2), Stefan Nielsen and Josh Tooke were also on the scoresheet for Kidlington.

Anton Mundy netted a consolation.

Stuart Walker’s penalty was enough for Wallingford Town to beat Marlow United 1-0, to move them up two places to 11th.

In Division 1 West, Clanfield 85 drew 2-2 with Hereford Pegasus.

Jack Bellenger and Jozef Fullerton were on target for Clanfield, who sit tenth.

Josh Fowler struck the only goal as Letcombe beat nearest challengers Highworth Town Res to open up a five point lead in Division 2 West.
