ALICE Hopkins landed a sensational long jump gold at the European Indoor Championships.
The Oxford City athlete set a season's best of 6.13m to secure victory in an England vest in Vienna.
She was the only athlete to reach 6m, jumping more than half a metre further than her nearest rival.
It was the 21-year-old's first international event of the year and sets her up for the British Indoor Championships in Glasgow on February 22-23.
Hopkins was also in contention to be picked for next month's World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, but the event has been postponed by 12 months due to the coronavirus outbreak.
