RUTHERFORD’S winning run in Division 1 of the Oxford & District League was brought to an end at second-placed Forum A.

The hosts had to pull together for a 6-4 win, with Fraser Harris, Karl Bushell and Greg Boone all contributing.

But Lewis Waddup secured a maximum to grab a consolation point for the leaders, who have had their lead at the summit cut to one.

British Rail are breathing down the frontrunners’ necks, thanks to a 10-0 triumph over Bicester A.

Forum C were too strong for bottom side Brookes, Michael Kenyon’s full house helping the visitors to an 8-2 victory.

Vikings A are 14 points clear at the top of Division 2 after a 9-1 thrashing of Forum E, James Speedy and Mike Aistrop registering trebles.

RAL B went down 6-4 at home to Begbroke, Paul Humphrey’s maximum proving the difference.

Division 3 leaders Forum I were held to a 5-5 draw at Holton D, Brian Dobson with a full house for the hosts.
