MATT Williams is calling on his Chinnor players to stay hot on the heels of the top three at Rotherham Titans.

The Thame-based side are aiming for a third straight victory in National League 1, while they are unbeaten in five games on the road.

Last weekend’s dramatic 28-27 win over Cinderford left Chinnor four points off third, but Williams knows they can

ill-afford to take third-bottom Titans lightly.

The director of rugby said: “Rotherham are fighting for their lives at the moment at the other end of the table.

“They’re a better team than where they are, they know that, so on a small narrow pitch we know what’s coming.”

Williams added: “It’s about the coming week, not what we’ve done in the past, but at this key stage of the season momentum is very important.

“We’ve had two good wins in a row now, our away form is strong, we like a bus trip, so we’re looking forward to what Rotherham will bring.”

There is quite a former Titans contingent at Chinnor, with Josh McNulty, James Tyas, Jack Ramshaw, Ben Thomas, Carl Kirwan, Willie Ryan and Joe Rees all previously spending time at Clifton Lane.

Caolan Ryan is out with concussion.

Second face first in National League 2 South as Henley Hawks host Tonbridge Juddians.

Henley were knocked off the top with defeat at Redruth last weekend and they will be desperate to make amends.

Brad Cook and Charlie Hughes replace Rory Mason and George Primett in the forwards, while winger Jack Robinson comes in for Samir Kharbouch.

Oxford Harlequins return to action with a home game against second-bottom Trowbridge in South West 1 East.

Nick Marshall returns at prop and Dan Todd steps up to fly half.

Witney host Marlow bidding for a 15th straight triumph in Southern Counties North.

Scott Mortimer, Ben Fisk, Lou Collins are all injured and Matt Clarke is unavailable, with Wayne Caffekey and Jake Thomas among those to come in.

In Southern Counties South, leaders Grove are at home to bottom side North Dorset.

Mark Roberts and Huw Lewis return to the XV, while Rauf Birler and Martin Walsh return to the bench after injuries.
