MICHAEL Flavell was the star of the show as his four-timer helped Carterton Town A hammer hosts Spartan Rangers 8-1 in the Witney & District FA Premier Division.

Further goals came from James Sinclair, Wes Christian, Sean O’Donnell and Dave Pearce, while Spartan replied through Luke Pettifer.

Leaders Carterton fell to a second defeat in a row as they lost 1-0 at home to local rivals Carterton Rangers.

The only goal of the game came from a Billy Hales penalty.

Hailey edged out hosts Milton 3-2.

Freddie Buckingham, Travis O’Connor and Jordan Cormack were on target, with Milton replying through Alex Ayres and Stephen Pearce.

Stonesfield beat Charlbury Town by the same scoreline.

Carry Rice (2) and Mike Phipps netted for the home side, with Mark Goode and Lukas Jerowski on the mark for their opponents.

In Division 1, goals from Jordan Godfrey, Matt Chadwick, Konrad Weyzk and Alfie Peachey gave Chadlington a 4-1 win over Bourton Rovers, with Matt Winter replying.

Division 3 leaders Bletchingdon marched on with a 4-0 win at Bourton Rovers Res, thanks to a Richard Wells hat-trick and Jimmy Deabill’s strike.

John Ayres netted all six goals for Eynsham SSC as they beat Middle Barton 6-4 in the second leg of their Watts Junior Cup first round tie, Eynsham winning 10-7 on aggregate.

Middle Barton replied through John Umney (2), Jack Kay and Jack Fowler.
