Oxford City and Thame United booked their places in the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Senior Cup.

Defending champions City ran out 3-0 winners against visitors Kidlington, although the tie was in the balance until late on.

Jaanai Gordon gave them a first-half lead, but the hosts only wrapped the victory up in the final 15 minutes.

Nana Owusu set up Kyran Wiltshire to double the lead, before grabbing the third himself five minutes from time.

Thame’s passage at home to Oxfordshire Senior League side Horspath was not straightforward.

Jordan Reid’s volley for the underdogs cancelled out Ben Sturgess’s opener, but Thame edged through 2-1 via Matt Peake-Pijnen’s 65th-minute penalty.

They join North Leigh in the last four after the Millers triumphed over Clanfield 85 earlier this month.

The semi-final line-up will be completed when Banbury United host Oxford United on February 4.
