A SECOND-half strike from Callum Hendry sent Letcombe Res into the semi-finals of the War Memorial Cup with a 1-0 win at Long Wittenham Athletic Res.

After a goalless first half, the Division 3 side went in front when Declan O’Hanlon sent a free-kick into the Wittenham box and Hendry glanced a header past the diving Harrison James.

Dorchester reached the last four as they saw off hosts Lambourn Res 3-2.

Josh Andrews led the way with a brace, before Conner Willmoth and James Hutchings levelled the scoreline.

But a last-minute screamer from Ashley Stevens secured a thrilling win for Dorchester.

In Division 1, Watlington Town came back from 2-0 down to record a 6-3 win over Saxton Rovers.

Brandon Burton found the net twice, with further goals coming from Jake Braim, Kevin Hudson, Owen Wood and former Reading and Wales striker Simon Church.

Saxton’s goals came from Niall Hodgkins (2) and Daniel Parry.

Drayton moved up to fifth after a 4-1 triumph over Cholsey United.

Josh Dennis, Kieron Hughes, Nathan Merry and Jamie Jacks were on the mark, with Max Gallagher replying.

East Hendred drew 2-2 at home against Steventon.

Aiden Di Toro and Cameron Lagan netted for Hendred, with Jon Green and Jamie Speer on target for the visitors.

In Division 2, Saxton Rovers Res went back to the top after a 3-0 win over Faringdon Town Res.

Michel Smith, George Goodenough and Josh Harper were on target.

Berinsfield Res recorded back-to-back victories as they defeated Sutton Courtenay 3-2.

Harvey Moore, Joffy Welch and Jack Hinkin netted for Berinsfield.
