ETHAN Rose finished runner-up at the Wimbledon Senior Gold 2020 after a string of outstanding performances in the early rounds.
The Oakley teenager saw off four opponents to reach the final before he was defeated 21-18 21-10 by Harry Huang.
After receiving a bye in the first round, the top seed swatted aside Mehar Bijral at the next stage, winning 21-11 21-7.
David King proved a tougher test in round three, only losing the first set 21-19 before the teenager triumphed 21-10 in the second.
Quarter-final opponent Kaylan Jensen could not get near the Oxfordshire player in their clash, Rose taking it 21-13 21-9.
The last-four tie against Heng Lin Ngan went to a decider, the youngster winning the first set 21-16 before his opponent took the second by the same scoreline.
But Rose claimed the third 21-13 to give himself a shot at the title.
He ran Huang close in the first set of the final, but had to settle for second place.
