MAX Palmer was in scintillating form as he smashed home eight goals in Berinsfield’s 11-0 North Berks League mauling of North Oxford on Saturday.

Berinsfield showed their visitors no mercy in a one-sided Division 1 affair, with Charlie Lee, Howard Hawkins and David Murphy also on target.

Long Wittenham came from behind twice to snatch a 3-3 draw against visitors Watlington Town.

Watlington went 2-0 up through Jake Braim and Kevin Hudson, but Callum Bowler and Eddie Stanhope levelled the scores.

Brandon Burton fired the visitors back in front, but a goal five minutes from time, courtesy of Bowler’s strike from 30 yards, secured Wittenham a share of the points.

Hagbourne United ran out 2-1 winners at Steventon, with Jake Lee and George Smith on target and Jon Green replying.

Saxton Rovers thumped Lambourn Sports 6-0, Niall Hodgkins hitting a hat-trick.

Further goals came from Harry Stanley, Daniel Parry and Riley Stone.

Strikes from Josh Boult, Tom Dowdell and Liam Woods saw Cholsey United to a 3-0 triumph at East Hendred.

In Division 2, leaders Long Wittenham Res were defeated 5-2 at Dorchester, with Joe Marriott hitting a hat-trick.

Nathan Kerry and George Kay were also on target, with Billy Baker and James Bishop replying.

Letcombe reached the North Berks League Cup semi-finals with a 4-1 win over Hanney 66 Club.

Jason Brizell scored twice, with Ollie Thornburn and Jamie McGahey also on target.
