Ahead of each of United's games this season, we are looking back at memorable matches against their next opponents.

March 24, 2001: Oxford United 4, Rotherham 3

OXFORD United's thrilling 4-3 victory over Division Two leaders Rotherham United proved extra sweet for Andy Scott.

The striker came up against younger brother Rob and his goal helped the U's to a thrilling triumph in one of the few bright points of a grim 2000/01 season.

Manny Omoyinmi scored twice and Rob Quinn was on target in the only time United managed four goals in a game all campaign.

Scott's strike was his first since his January move from Brentford on a memorable day for the 28-year-old.

He said: "It's only the third time I've played against my brother and one time we were both playing up front, so we didn't oppose each other as such," Andy said.

"The other time we played was this season when I was at Brentford and Rotherham won 3-0, so it's nice to get one back on him."

Quinn, who moved to the Manor Ground in the same deal as Scott, also bagged his first United goal.

But the star of the show was Omoyinmi, who hugely impressed his teammate.

Scott said: "Manny was superb. It's the first time I've seen him in a match.

"In training, some of the things he does are frightening. When he gets the ball and runs at defenders he must frighten them to death.

"A few of our players had a point to prove today, and they've done that."
