ADAM Burden rounded off 2019 in glittering fashion as he claimed two silver medals in Milton Keynes.
The teenager topped a strong qualifying group in the boys’ singles at the Webber Under 17 tournament, before easing through the quarter-finals and winning his last four clash.
But he was beaten 15-9, 16-14 by the top seed in a closely-contested final and was forced to settle for second place.
Burden added another silver with his partner Andrew Harrison, of Sussex, in the boys doubles.
In the Shires League, Oxfordshire Under 16s kept alive their chances of reaching the national finals with a 15-5 triumph over Hertfordshire 2nd.
