BEN Charlesworth will represent England at the Under 19 World Cup.

The former Oxfordshire batsman has been included in the 15-strong squad for next month's tournament in South Africa.

It comes after the 19-year-old helped his country reach the final of the Rising Stars Tri-Series in Antigua, with England facing Sri Lanka on Saturday.

Charlesworth previously told the Oxford Mail that featuring in the World Cup would realise a childhood dream.

He said: "My main feeling is just excitement.

“I watched the last World Cup at home on TV thinking how amazing it would be to play in that.”

Charlesworth, who plays for Gloucestershire, was also part of the side that gained promotion from Division Two of the County Championship in 2019.
