JAMIE Hanson has been ruled out for at least four weeks after suffering another hamstring injury.

The midfielder returned from three months out on Wednesday night as a second-half substitute against Exeter City.

But during Hanson’s 22-minute appearance he suffered a strain in his other leg, which will keep him out until the new year.

U’s boss Karl Robinson said: “Jamie’s done his other hamstring and will be out for four to six weeks.

“It’s one of those really unlucky situations and it’s put himself back.

“He did it in the last five minutes of the game, but just thought it was stiff.

“He couldn’t train on Thursday so we sent him for a scan and got the results last night.”

It is another blow for United, who have several central midfielders out injured, while Alex Gorrin is suspended for today's home game with Shrewsbury Town.
