With both A teams drawing, the decisive clash was the Men’s B, where the visitors’ 8-4 loss paved the way for a 19-17 reverse.
The sides paid tribute to BDO founder Olly Croft and Oxfordshire legend Percy Brain with a minute’s applause before the start.
Emma Everett got the Ladies’ B team off to a good start.
Gina Freshwater, Cali Birch and lady of the match Denise Pape also won to seal a 4-2 success.
But the men came unstuck, as only man of the match Adam Bowman, Dan Smith, Rob Adnams and Graham Earwicker triumphed.
Resuming on Sunday 10-8 down, the Ladies’ A team led 3-1 thanks to Karen Williams, Jaine Telling and lady of the match Deta Hedman.
But Cambridgeshire hit back to level, just as they did from 6-2 down in the Men’s A.
