OXFORD United are waiting on news of a knee injury suffered by Simon Eastwood on Saturday.

The goalkeeper required treatment following a collision as he claimed a cross late in the Emirates FA Cup victory at Walsall.

Eastwood was able to complete the game, but reported some discomfort yesterday.

It may mean he misses Wednesday's visit to Exeter City in the Leasing.com Trophy, but United are yet to make a judgement.

Eastwood has only missed two games this season, with Jack Stevens selected in the Trophy games against Norwich City Under 21s and Crawley Town.

Derek Fazackerley, U's first team coach, said: "He's being assessed this morning.

"Just how bad his knee is, I'm not too sure. I don't think it's that bad, otherwsie he wouldn't have been able to carry on in the game.

"But it was a bit sore yesterday, so we'll see if it settles down today and take it from there.

"Whether he's fit enough for Wednesday night or not, who knows.

"The extra day might make all the difference and he likes to play in all the games.

"It would be silly to risk anybody, but particularly Easty, who is such an influential player as well."
